Tornado vs Bats

What happens to a bat population when a tornado tears through its habitat? A free seminar at Portage College will explore that question through the experiences of bats at Dillberry Lake Provincial Park.

Portage College instructor Darcey Shyry will share what happened after a tornado swept through the area, offering insights into bat conservation, monitoring and the fascinating lives of these creatures.

The seminar takes place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Environmental Sciences Building at Portage College’s Lac La Biche Campus.

Admission is free.
