Lakeland Dark Sky Celebration

Discover the beauty of the night sky at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park!  The Lakeland Dark Sky Celebration features two days of stargazing and events on September 13th and 14th. On Friday, attendees will explore "Sounds of the Night" an interactive presentation of the nocturnal world and the spooky sounds they make. On Saturday, The celebration continues with a special display from the Lakeland Industry and Community Association, showcasing nocturnal creatures. Participants can also explore the night sky with volunteers from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, enjoy astrophotography presentations, and engage in crafts and activities. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
