Haying in the 30’s

Haying in the 30’s will return on August 1–2, 2026, in Mallaig, Alberta, inviting visitors to step back in time and experience rural life as it was nearly a century ago. This annual community event celebrates the heritage of early farming while bringing people together for a meaningful cause.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a variety of demonstrations and activities that showcase traditional farming practices from the 1930s.
