Canada Day at Lac La Biche Mission
Celebrate Canada Day at the Lac La Biche Mission on July 1, 2026, with a full day of family-friendly activities, entertainment, culture, and community connections.
The day begins with a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by an Opening Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. featuring “O Canada” in French, English, and Cree. Visitors can enjoy a variety of live performances throughout the day, including fiddle music, jigging, pow wow dancing, local musicians, a magic show, and more.
Families will find plenty to enjoy in the Children’s Tent, featuring bouncy castles, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon animals, a roving cowboy roper, and special mascot appearances. Guided tours of the historic mission will be offered throughout the afternoon, and food concessions will be available all day.
With activities for all ages, this celebration offers a meaningful opportunity to come together, recognize Canada’s heritage, and enjoy a day of entertainment in one of Alberta’s most historic settings.
Admission is by donation at the gate. For more information, visit the Lac La Biche Mission.
