Traditional Métis Vest Workshop

Métis Crossing will host a Traditional Métis Vest Workshop on April 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Métis Crossing in Smoky Lake County, Alberta.

This hands-on workshop invites participants to learn how to create a traditional Métis melton vest while gaining insight into the cultural significance and craftsmanship behind this garment. Guided by knowledgeable instructors, attendees will learn traditional techniques and leave with their own handcrafted vest.
