Exploring the Platter

This demonstration, Exploring the Platter, shows a unique approach to making platters. Larry McIntosh, the demonstrator, is from Edmonton, has been potting since 1991 & graduated from the University of Regina with a Major in Ceramics. Larry will demonstrate his methods of assembly of 2 types of platters – thrown and stretched/altered and hand built using the slab roller and extruder. He will put an emphasis on design and will show how he achieves certain forms using basic geometry skills. Cost for Members is $100, Non-members $105 – lunch is included.
